SAG AWARDS-NO inclusion of Disabled Actors-Stop the awards

Five years ago, Darren Dione Aquino, National Chief and disabled SAG Actor (prior to the merge) was chosen through a lottery, as the token disabled actor to attend the SAG awards. It was a magnificent experience, however,  it gave appearance that disabled actors are welcome and included fairly in the drawing. SAG and now SAG/AFTRA  has to include disabled union actors to the SAG awards.

Disabled actors should be invited to the event since actors are voting for their fellow actors. SAG opened up a lottery to invite other actors for the general audience of union actors. However, once we arrived, we noticed that there were more friends, family and non union actors and one non union disabled individual at a table of 10 with no recipient at the table. It was stated that the award floor was for the awardees. However, for this table of 10 , there was no award recipient. Explain please? Why was this table of 10 present, it could have held 10 disabled actors.

Five years ago, I offered my services to facilitate the needs of disabled actors to be able to participate in this union event to both SAG and the Academy awards. Neither entity showed any interest as a public entity receiving Federal funding.

This organization was responsible for getting actual disabled union actors on Law and Order SVU. These disabled individuals portrayed their actual disabilities. We were able to do this with the acceptance and understanding of the need for inclusion by Peter Lido, Dick Wolf and Ted Kotcheff.

We spoke with Jennifer Coyne-Hoerle and Jeff Margolis(who is no longer involved with the awards) regarding the inclusion of disabled actors. Jennifer stated that she would stop the drawing if she had to include 25% of disabled union actors.

We have been in correspondence with Nicole Nakagawa, executive legal counsel for the SAG awards, and if we cannot come to common understanding of what must be done, we will proceed with legal action.

ADA VETS is preparing to lodge a class action law suit to stop the awards unless disabled actors are included.

ALL VETERANS-THE ASSISTANCE OF A SERVICE DOG

To all our service men & women that require verification that you are in need of a service dog/companion, our national chief will be honored to absorb that cost of providing IDs and tags. Please do not note your disability online as this compromises your right to privacy and HIPAA. We have been getting so many posts regarding assistance with service dogs, whereby the veteran has noted his or her disability, that we felt we had to comment and send you the National Chief’s personal cell. Please call him and he will tell you what must be done. Darren’s number is 929-245-1151.

God Bless all of you that have served our country…

We will attend Officer Lu’s services as well. Darren  is asking all Americans across the country that demand justice for all crimes, and we do that by starting here, starting now.
Police are not our adversaries, they are our support system. we need to weed out the bad and stand together and support what is right and just as a society. These 2 officers were assasinated without an opportunity to defend themselves.
Advocates for Disabled Americans, Veterans, Police, Firemen & Families is showing support for the 2 fallen officers assassinated in Brooklyn these are our uniformed police officers that protect our city streets nationwide, show your support since it may be your son or daughter who has the courage to put on the uniform to protect your community nationwide. Stand up for this brutal attack and show your support for your local police department. Americans coming together, we want justice for all crimes, we want justice for ERIC GARDNER, we want justice for Officer Ramos, Officer LU. We are a just society and the Mayor’s actions just arent’ good enough.
My borhter is a police officer in Nassau  County, I would be devastated if this happened to him. Please folks, imagine oif this were your son, daughter, sister or brother. We want justice for all crimes, so, folks, please go out and get a blue ribbon, wear it on your lapel, on your car, put it on your house. This is a national move for justice for all. We must show our police officers that we are law abiding citizens that we care about them.
We know that there are problems in every city agency, however, in every agency there are also men and women that are so honorable. We can’t allow the injustice to be justified. Today, wqe must stand as citizens across the country and say “no more” . We cannot allow our sons and daughter to get hurt. Our justice system fails us when we don’t prosecute the guilty, it also fails us when the just are not vindicated.

A HOLIDAY Message From Darren Dione Aquino,Nat’l Chief

ADVOCATES FOR DISABLED ANNUAL HOLIDAY DRIVE

For most of us Thanksgiving is a time of joy, everyone’s favorite Holiday. But, for many people living with debilitating conditions (disabilities), this Holiday season can be a time of loneliness, hunger, isolation and hospitalization. This year and every year, we count on you America. You help to make the difference in the lives of so many. Let us not forget AIDS patients. Many do not acknowledge that AIDS is a disability, it is…

These disabilities have a major impact on society that limit inclusion, participation and enjoyment of the Holiday Season.

As you know, I recently lost my mother, 2 weeks ago. This was due to neglect by the homecare agency-Wellcare and Revival homecare., which were responsible to treat, monitor and keep safe-They did not. You may be thinking, why I’m telling you this…. My mother passed in 2 days due to an infection in her body. These agencies and the visiting nurse connected to this agency are responsible, and as a result, she has passed and won’t be with us this Holiday Season. This was my mother’s favorite season, and she always acknowledged others. At my mother’s memorial, I remembered the greatest life lesson my mother taught me. She showed me how to love others, be compassionate of others and to share with others that had less than me. So, for those of you that are in need, please come out and let me honor my mother. And for those of you that have no need, PLEASE HELP US MEET OUR GOALS, BEGINNING WITH THANKSGIVING AND ENDIGN WITH CHRISTMAS, LET EVERY FAMILY BE FED AND EVERY CHILD RECEIVE A GIFT. THAT’S WHAT MY MOTHER DID, EVERY YEAR TO THE BEST OF HER ABILITY, HER ONLY INCOME WAS SOCIAL SECURITY AND SHE STILL FOUND A WAY TO GIVE…

It costs us millions of dollars to see to it that our loved ones are treated well by these agencies, it begins with Thanksgiving and it ends with Christmas. So, where do we begin?

It is our goal at ADA, that debilitated families across Long Island and the tri state area, in a loving effort to feed families this Holiday Season, along with Connect Church in North Bellmore-www.connectchurch.com , pastor John Gravagna, is waiting to feed your family this Thanksgiving. All you have to do, is express your need, and your gift basket to feed your family will be waiting for you at Connect Church.

This is not just for disabled families, but , is for all families, Pastor John doesn’t just see disability, he sees the need and together we are prepared to meet your needs.

So, together, the National Chief, Darren Dione Aquino and Pastor John Gravagna, are ready to meet your needs. So, together honoring my mother Antonette Gaud, and Pastor John’s grandmother, we are wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving, as we gather together in the spirit of friendship and peace. Please know that you are not alone.

We’d like to add another Holiday note, The Ferguson situation has caused racial tension, don’t let it separate us this Holiday Season as a people, let us still come together to show the true spirit of the Holiday and of people. We’d like to say that we do not agree with the DECISION. A crime was committed and he must be punished by the law, not the people. We want to send a special greeting of peace to the Ferguson Family.

SEND YOUR HOLIDAY GIFTS OF LOVE TO: ADVICATES FOR DISABLED AMERICANS, VETERANS, POLICE, FIREMEN & FAMILIES

Fraud by “REACHING FOR THE STARS” Geri Costa AKA JERRY

Geri Costa, aka, Jerry ( spelled differently so she cannot be traced when committing fraud, owner of REACHING FOR THE STARS CASTING COMMITTED FRAUD. The address of this agency is located at 1365 N. Railroad Ave #113, Staten Island, NY 10306

website: www.reaching4thestars.biz

Geri Costa, owner of Reaching 4 the Stars casting, borrowed funds from Darren Dione Aquino and the organization, Advocates for Disabled Americans, Veterans, Police, Firemen & Families (ADA VETS) on July 13, 2014, or thereabouts. The loan was in the amount of $3065.00, due to be paid back on September 15, 2014.

Geri Costa had a working relationship with Darren Dione Aquino and Anthony Passaro, Sr., whereby, she was filming a project which included both Aquino and Passaro. She approached both men and requested  a loan from Aquino in a business proposition. Geri requested that the amount be transferred to her partner’s account, Mr.Eugene Jaconetti.

Aquino, in the presence of Passaro was told that his funds would be returned in addition to the promise of accruing an interest of 10%. The funds were lent to Geri Costa and Eugene Jaconetti to help her promote a project. The funds were transferred to Jaconetti’s account

While preparing to transfer the funds, Geri Costa called Aquino’s banker, Lisa, in West Hempstead, NY several times, requesting the funds to be transferred immediately.

The bank manager responded that she could not do anything until she communicated with the CEO of ADA VETs.

On September 15, 2014, when we tried to recover this debt, Geri Costa’s response was, ” stop harassing me or I will file a police report stating that you are harassing  me”. Since when does requesting for the funds loaned-the return of a debt, represent harassment?

We will proceed with civil action, seeking criminal action against the Costa family and Mr. Jaconetti. Geri involved her son in this fraud who we understand is now trying to become a police officer.

The law firm of Gerard Marrone ESQ represents ADA VETS.

On September 22,2014, Geri Costa asked Passaro if he could stall Aquino for more time. Costa informed Passaro that she would file a complaint of harassment against Aquino and that the judge would not be able to make her pay the funds back.

Anyone that hears these names, Geri Costa, AKA Jerry, and  Jaconetti should be aware. We are also sending a copy of this to the Screen Actor’s Guild.

She did make 3rd party threats to Mr. Passaro on September 22, 2014,  stating she knows people and that she won’t have to pay this debt and that she will make false complaints.

If anyone would like to further investigate this crime, they may contact us.

She is not allowed to use the footage taken of Passaro and Aquino It also should be noted that her ex boyfriend is a police officer in Staten Island, no longer with her due to her behavior, however, she eluded to Mr. Passaro that she could easily contact him and get him to assist in a complaint.

Actors, models, should stay away from this agency Reaching for the Stars, Geri Costa, AKA, Jerry and Mr. Jaconetti
