Advocates for Disabled Americans, Veterans, Police, Fireman & Families ( ADA VETs) is a family oriented organization. We pride ourselves in working closely with families to meet their needs. We know how important the family unit is, hence, our organization is comprised of family members, close friends, clients turned members and long time colleagues that work together closely to serve the disabled. These individuals have all become the ADA VETS family network.
The CEO, Darren Aquino, founded this organization due to his own challenges with his disability. He wanted to create an organization that would truly meet the challenging needs of the disabled population since there were very few options available. Most of the members and volunteers are also disabled, which makes this organization unique. Each individual  in the organization has dealt personally with a situation involving their own disability or a family member’s disability. The members and affiliates found Darren’s organization since they were seeking assistance in the disabilities area.
Every case is dealt with individualized care. No disability case is denied. We provide assistance for qualified disabled individuals from birth to senior.   We provide advocacy services for infants and toddlers receiving Early Intervention Services, for children and teens receiving services from the Board of Education, (CPSE, CSE)),and  individuals that need assistance with Social Security benefits. We hope that we can be of service to you.
As an organization, we constantly strive to create ways to contribute to the disabled community. We have developed a program called, “Donate a Service Vest.” The vests will be donated to disabled families with service dogs. The vests are from our COMPANION PETWEAR DESIGNS.
Accessibility has been an ongoing issue for disabled. As a Christian based organization, one of our goals has been to have ADA Ability centers in every church, which would accommodate and include full participation for our disabled members. We strive to develop new and creative ways to include families and their disabled members, especially disabled children. Most churches have activities for children while their parents attend services. However, having just a classroom of activities or baby sitting is not appropriate for disabled children. Special care and special services are required and should be provided by qualified professionals. Accommodating is far more than having an elevator and a ramp. This is what Jesus would do, one man, one gift, another man, another gift, such as having special disability needs training. What good is including a disabled family or individual if there is nothing in the curriculum that fosters growth and development. Limiting  disabled accessibility stuns the growth of the church family. Children with special needs and their families should be a priority. Lack of appropriate services may be due to a lack of understanding, or knowledge, or a lack of resources.  It’s not subject to accommodate, it’s accommodate the subject. This is an area in which our National Chief can help. Working with disabled families and their children for over 20 years has given us the resources to assist any church or organization that strives to be in compliance with the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act). Do you know how many disabled people cannot even get to church? Call us for assistance, give us your support for this very important mission.

We are arranging to have some very valuable new members on our Board of Directors. Each of these individuals have an expertise and extensive knowledge in the area of disabilities. These areas include accessibility, medical needs, legal issues and much more. We continuously strive to accommodate and develop new tools for the disabled community. Accessibility to consistent and immediate medical assistance (physical & emotional) has always been a challenge for the disabled community. We are collaborating with a group of professionals that fully understand our mission and also believe in innovative ways to assist the disabled community. We will be posting this new development in the coming weeks.

Mr. Friedman was sworn in on May 12, 2012, who now maintains the position of National Communications and Media Director/Special Advisor to the National Chief.
Victor’s insight and collaboration will give new meaning to Healthcare. This all inclusive Healthcare Project  will be revealed in the coming days. Together with the National Chief, Mr. DeCosta Headley, Special Advisor and Asst National Chief,  Ms. Tracy Lee, Special Advisor and Asst. The mission of this National organization is clear, ensure the access and provision of the finest healthcare guaranteed to every disabled American. Without this technological break-through, our veterans will continue to be under served.  Our veterans have been overlooked, it has been forgotten that our veterans all took the responsibility to protect this nation. Their dedication, putting God and country first for our freedom, putting your freedom, your liberty first, is their priority mission.
Through the amazing abilities, collaboration and extraordinary work of Mr. Victor Friedman, state-of-the-art healthcare is no longer a dream for this organization, but a reality, soon to be unveiled.
I take pride in the dedication and innovation of this new team, who have put hundreds of man hours toward this new project.  Not only does this project bring accommodation by using internet technology (unseen) but promotes and ensures an immediate quality of life for our disabled veterans.
